Water slide decals
uniflex® transfer
Wafer-thin for precision placement
The uniflex® transfer is a lacquer image that is also known as a water slide decal. The thin paint and lacquer film is placed on a paper substrate. When the uniflex® transfer has been placed in water for some time, the image film comes loose and is easy to slide onto the decoration base once it has been taken out of the water.
For final attachment to the base, another lacquer coating must be applied or the transfer must be burned onto the base. In cases of very fine image elements, a special transfer lacquer is printed onto the actual image for an easier and more precise transfer. This produces a very stable decoration that can no longer be removed in one piece.
Water slide decals can be used anywhere where conventional stickers are too thick.
